    Eligibility and Requirements for Getting into SMU MIM

    To be considered for admission to the SMU MiM program, you should be aware of the MiM program and duration at SMU and other details. Here are the SMU MiM eligibility & requirements criteria and documents related to the application:

    Eligibility

    • Work experience is not required.

    • SMU UG Alumni with cumulative GPAs of 3.40 or better, and Non-SMU candidates from local Autonomous Universities (NUS, NTU, SMU, SUSS, SUTD, SIT) with cumulative GPAs of 3.50 or better will not require a GMAT or GRE score for admissions.     GPA

    GPA, or Grade Point Average, is an indicator of academic achievement. LBS does not stipulate a minimum GPA requirement for admittance into its programs; however, it remains common knowledge that an exemplary educational pedigree will commonly be expected from candidates.     GMAT

    The GMAT, or Graduate Management Admission Test, is a globally recognized standardized examination that many business schools utilize as an evaluation tool for candidates hoping to gain admission into their MiM programs. SMU UG Alumni with cumulative GPAs of 3.40 or better, and Non-SMU candidates from local Autonomous Universities (NUS, NTU, SMU, SUSS, SUTD, SIT) with cumulative GPAs of 3.50 or better will not require a GMAT .     GRE

    • Interview: Upon completion of the online application form, candidates will be invited to complete a recorded video interview as a first stage of evaluation. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited for a second interview with the Admissions Committee, and also for follow-up tests if deemed necessary.
    • Decision: After deliberation, the admissions board reaches a resolution about the candidate's application. This could result in an offer of admission, placement on a waitlist or outright denial.
    • Acceptance: If an offer of admission is made, the candidate can readily accept it and make a downpayment to secure their space in the course.

    The application opens on December 1, 2023 for August 2024 intakes in SMU MiM program. We encourage candidates to complete their applications at earlier deadlines, as seats in the MIM programme and scholarships may be limited by Round 3.
